Overview

Groundwork for Youth Empowered Community Change is designed to provide support and knowledge to both young people and adults interested in gaining a deeper understanding of community health. The course is structured into three modules, each containing two activities to enhance learning. Each module will take about one hour to complete.

Module 1: Social Determinants of Health

Module 2: Health Equity

Module 3: Policy, Systems and Environmental Change

This course can be utilized:

To foster a common language and comprehension of community health issues within workplaces, coalitions and groups of young people.
a standalone e-learning resource on the subjects of social determinants of health, health equity and policy systems and environmental change.

The “Groundwork for Youth Empowered Community Change” e-learning course equips young people and adults with vital knowledge about community health. Through three comprehensive modules—Social Determinants of Health, Health Equity, and Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change—participants gain skills to positively impact their communities. Each module offers interactive activities designed to enhance learning and understanding.

Participants can complete the full course in approximately three hours, making it ideal for busy schedules and work with young people.
