Dial Gauge Pressure Canner Testing

Dial Gauge Pressure Canner Testing
Get Your Pressure Canner Tested
There are two ways to get your dial gauge tested:
Option 1: Contact Your Local County Extension Office
If you’re interested in having your pressure canner tested, please contact your local County Extension Office for assistance. They can provide testing services, schedule appointments, or direct you to other local resources.
Option 2: Mail Your Gauge to Presto
National Presto Industries will test dial gauges at no charge for the following canner brands: National, Magic Seal, Maid of Honor, and Presto. You pay postage to send the gauge; Presto covers return shipping.
Carefully remove the dial gauge from the canner lid. If you cannot remove the gauge, send the canner lid with the gauge attached.
Package the gauge in foam, bubble wrap, or newspaper to prevent shipping damage.
Ship the gauge only; do not send the full canner base.
Mail to: National Presto Industries, Inc., 3925 North Hastings Way, Eau Claire, WI 54703

About Dial Gauge Testing
Dial gauge canners should be tested every year to ensure accurate pressure readings.
| Note: The Presto testing unit is used to test gauges for National, Magic Seal, Maid of Honor, and Presto brand canners only. The All American canner is a weighted gauge canner with a reference dial; do not use the Presto testing unit on an All American canner. |
